Playful Calf

Wild Kerala Elephants at Periyar National Park, Kerala. We got the tickets to the early morning slot boat ride (by standing since 4:30am early morning for entrance tickets, and then surviving the mad rush inside the park for boat tickets). All the effort seemed worth it - we got lots of animal sightings. This mother-calf pair was part of group of 5 elephants and the it was very pretty to see how the calf was being protected by the group all along. The calf was in its own mood and very playful.

V for Victory !

Posting from Hong Kong :) Nothing much to do in transit ... 8 hrs halt !
So this pic was captured in Yellowstone national park. It was evening and the golden back-light was just perfect. However I did not notice my camera settings till I downloaded this pics ... it was way underexposed. Still I love the back-light on the antlers ...
