Winding Path

Same time as we did the Hurricane Hill trail. This is the trail which leads to the top of hill where we get the white carpet view. I have always been awed with the views from Hurricane Ridge in Olympics - the backdrop of towering mountains gives very nice perspectives and enormity of nature.

By the River During Fall

One fall evening, we just started from home to catch some fall colors around Seattle. The simplest drive was to Snouqualmie falls. We could not catch much of the colors. This pic was taken by the Snouqualmie river. It was cloudy and not much light below ... the picture I got gave quite underexposed below half. It has been post processed to get an HDR.

Lucky Horses

Meadows on way to east entrance of Glacier national park: It was a very cloudy day, poor light, drizzling and no tripod! What can you get? This image is HDR processed of a very bare image that I managed on that day. It was only after processing this, I noticed the horses on the meadows and with majestic glacier mountains behind. I don't even remember what I did ... I am not still familiar what all parameters to tweak to get a predictable HDR!
