The Watchman

Same location as this one. This cormorant seems to be keeping a watchful eye over the calm waters.

Stretching

Stretching early morning this Cormorant (correct me if wrong) was caught on the Periyar Lake boat ride stretching just before its take-off for food.

The Show-off

I reached Zion National Park at around 6:40am and after looking around the visitor center for sometime took the early morning park shuttle for an overview of the various points. At the Grotto caught this wild male turkey showing off to the two females who nonchalantly grazed around. It was good capture as later during the day these guys just vanished into the tree cover to escape the summer heat.

Blue Eyes ... bird's got blue eyes

Donno the bird, someone help me out here. I was lazying on the rocks by the California cost near Ventura. With 100-400mm on the camera was trying to get some shots of the pelicans and other birds around. This chap was behind rock and was stretching himself. When I saw the pic in the quick view screen of the camera, I immediately noticed the striking blue eyes ... and this made me go a few more clicks of the bird to get something interesting.

Osprey

One of the saved shots from the only one proper Bird Photography session. This one was flying overhead and I had to crop nearly 50% of the image. Birds still remain a challenge for me ...

Bird photography

Early morning about 6:00am, at lake Wenatchee - the first experience of bird photography. After nearly two hours of drill - which was equivalent to being on war-front with machine guns - I could just manage this one shot which was a decent (by my standards!). The bird I was trying to shoot was an Osprey eagle, but managed to get this seagull!
