On The Wall

Desert View Watchtower: It was a two day visit which proved to be quite short time to visit even just the south side of Grand Canyon. However we took time to visit this watchtower at extreme east side which put the landscape and its civilization in perspective.

Looking Down

Looking down the Grand Canyon at Skeleton Point. Same trip and trail as this one. We completed the short hike to Skeleton Point on the South Kaibab Trail. It was exciting to see the vast expanse below with the little master who carved the marvel flowing below in what looked like a small stream from this point. This trip was just a starter for our subsequent trans-canyon trip about 7 months later.

Cave View

It was Nov2007 when me and my wife visited Grand Canyon - it was a short visit of 2 days and we did the South Kaibab trail which is known for its views of the canyon. However there are no trees or any water refill point on this trail. We took rest in this recess which gave us a respite from the hot day.
