Rainier from Burroughs trail

Same day as The Hike. This was on the way before that shot was taken. This was a very nice hike with Rainier always in view with beautiful meadows.

Mount Rainier from Reflection Lake

Mt Rainier in Reflection Lakes: Similar situation as Mt Hood. After so many tries to get reflection of Rainier in this place (as it is most accessible and highly visited), this was just less than perfect day. As we looped around the road after my Mt Rainier in Tipsoo Lake capture towards evening, I just happened to get this. One of the very satisfying days !

Zion Peaks

Zion national park: Peak summer when we visited Zion - part of my 9 day trip around north rim of GC including the trans-canyon hike. This peaks seem very much similar to Glacier national park - just links of mountains forming a wall to the valley.

Half Dome Experience

Half Dome, Yosemite: After a long time I felt I could just keep walking ! The 8.2mi hike to top was very scenic and even in the heat of July I felt I just can walk a lot. Nearly a break of one year since I did a strenuous hike. As I viewed from top, the scene was blurred by the forest fires by the forest management ... and I cursed them for spoiling my day!

This is what is referred as Diving Board of Half Dome. Photo courtesy: Fahad

Will post more shots from this trip soon ...

Charcoal Kilns

Charcoal Kilns, Death Valley: It was the day of my return back from this trip and towards the South, this was the last point on my list. Driving on this road alone and high noon was kind of scary - with the last 3mi stretch on unpaved road. As the road passes through the trees, at one point these bee-hives pop-out.

Death Valley Landscapes - 5

Death Valley - Road to Stovepipe village from Scotty's castle. Reminds of Forrest Gump running on long lone road.
