Lower Calf Creek Falls

Calf Creek Falls - I had spent nearly all afternoon to find a campsite (a day previous to Devil's Garden snap). Finally after getting an overnight permit for Hole-in-the-rock road wilderness area, I proceeded as planned to Calf Creek Falls. I reached there by about 5:00pm. I parked my vehicle at the parking area and was looking for directions to the falls. The ranger asked me if I needed help. I asked him where I can pay the day-use fee and he guided me. He also mentioned it was about 4 hrs return hike and it was late. Since I had been all this way, I told him, I'll probably then just go on the trail and take some snaps. As I proceeded to the pay booth, he called me back and offered that I can skip the payment as I won't spend much time and it was already end of day. I thanked him, never the less, paying the fee as it was nominal $2 and considering that the area had been maintained very nicely. As I started on the trail the cool air invigorated me and I thought I should give a shot to reach the falls in an hour. The trail was also covered in shade at the time and was mostly flat. I did manage to reach the falls in about 65mins and the scene there was more than the what I expected to see in the desert region.
And yes, as I reached back the parking, the ranger was surprised and happy to know I managed to reach the falls and capture some nice shots.
